The threat of instability in the region,
General Milley said – We had anticipated that if the withdrawal of US troops was too rapid, it would increase the risk of regional instability rapidly. This will increase the threat to Pakistan and its nuclear weapons. President Biden was also informed about this. US forces kept pressure on the Taliban for 20 years. Now we are also reviewing the role of Pakistan, under which it allowed terrorist safe havens to remain here for 20 years.

Pakistan and Taliban's deep relations
were present in this hearing along with General Mark, Chief of US Central Command, General Frank McKenzie. Responding to a senator's question, McKenzie said – Pakistan and the Taliban have had a deep relationship, but now I think that these relations will change because the Taliban has taken control of Afghanistan. Their relations will deteriorate, as the Taliban will now negotiate on their own terms and look after their own interests.

Pakistan will give air corridor
According to General McKenzie, talks are going on between Pakistan and America regarding the air corridor. Under this, Afghanistan can be reached through Pakistan.
A special feature of this hearing was that no top general of America said anything on Pakistan's nuclear weapons falling into terrorists. He said- We want to give secret information to the senators about this, but this briefing should be secret.
